Research Template

All I can say is WOW, what a week.  My wife walks in while I am thinking of all the things that are due and how overwhelmed I feel and she says WTF? (Why the face?) (modern family season 1 episode 1) hope I cited that correctly.  Anyway it has been a long week but it is winding down. Here is my research template that I  think I did right.  It is a blue print or a guide so to say, so is there really a wrong way to do it? Much like my weekly lesson plans, the template is there as a guide for me or anyone who wants to know what I am doing and what materials are needed to carry out that lesson. for those that are interested I will be blogging (ha ha I like that word) some of the actual activities that I will doing with my classes to carry out my research.

  2. Great action plan, David! It looks like you'll have a lot of data to comb through on your project, but it is certainly very comprehensive! You intro was certainly entertaining! Good luck with your plan!

  3. I think your plan looks just fine. Man, you are gonna be busy. I used the 7.1 template but really, after seeing the information you posted in yours, they really are about the same. Are you going to have time to investigate each area of study? Geez, I though I had lots to do!!

  4. Your plan looks great! It seems well thought out--it helped me in double checking mine although I had used the other template. Good luck with your research!

  5. Sounds great. Are you doing this during pe? I've always thought that would be a good way to remediate basic skills. Look forward to reading about your project.

  6. Hey David, what a great concept, especially for those of us that are kinesthetic learners! It might be beneficial to also include some research steps in the growing rate of obesity among children and how this is helpful for the youth of this nations health. I think Michelle Obama's projects for healthy America has some great education physical games for students. I am curious to see how you handle kids with physical impairments, asthma, or students that are a bit unwilling. Will they only be doing these activities in gym, or could you conduct an in-service with each department to train teachers on the activities in their own classrooms?

  7. This looks great! I am so impressed with how each step is detailed with everything from data gathering, data disaggregation, and data dissemination. I used a different template, but I like the way yours has it all laid out.

  8. David, your plan looks great; love the idea of incorporating core areas into your P.E. activities. I’m just curious to know if you are going to assign a day of the week for each subject, or how exactly do you plan to reinforce each area.
FYI: Really enjoy reading all your posts, seems you have a way to make people laugh even when feeling extremely overwhelm. The name of your blog is too cool; we are all really doing everything a la Carrera.

  9. Great plan David- Suggestion: maybe you can add the activities your thinking of using to your plan?? Maybe you can incorporate the teachers in physical activity too. I heard that most of the teachers at your school could use more physical activity in their life- except the music teacher- I heard she's perfect. Just saying.
